Full Comprehensive Insurance Cover

Driver’s Age: All drivers must be at least 23 years old for categories O, Α, Β, B1 and 25 years old for categories C, D, E, E1, E2, F, F1 & J. The maximum age for drivers is 70 years old.

Driver’s License: All driver(s) must hold a driver’s license issued in a member country of the European Union, for at least a year. All non-EU nationals (e.g. citizens of the US, Canada and Australia) must hold an international driver’s license.

Minimum Rental Period: Three days.

It is required that the renter is a credit card holder in order to proceed to the car rental.

Car Rental Insurance: The rent a car rates include the following coverage:

• Death, partial or total disability of third parties and of the passengers of the car, up to € 500.000.
• Material damage of third parties, up to € 100.000.
• Theft and fire insurance with NO EXCESS. Collision Damage Waiver.
• Personal Accident insurance for all passengers.
• Driver Insurance, unlimited km, all local taxes and VAT.
• Loss or breakage of the car key, are not covered by any insurance.

Collision Damage Waiver: Included in the price of the rental, and carries an excess dependent on the group of car.

Passengers’ Insurance: this coverage, which is included in the rent a car rate, insures the passengers of the car in the event of death, partial or total disability, as well as medical care.

Accident Administrative Expenses: in the event that the renter is responsible for an accident, the lump sum of € 20 is charged for administrative expenses.

Additional Driver: every rental car may have an additional driver, on the condition that he/she fulfils the age limit restrictions and the driver’s license conditions. Daily charge of 2 euro plus VAT.

Gasoline: the Budget Rent a Car vehicles are filled only with unleaded gasoline, which is the responsibility of the renter. No refunds are given in the event that there is excess fuel in the tank upon return of the rental car. Minimum charge for replenishment of gasoline: € 10.

Children’s Seats: available with additional charge of € 3 per day, upon reservation.

Luggage Racks & Snow Chains: not available.

Rental Car Brands & Models: reservations of our rental cars are processed by category and not by car type or model. Budget Rent a Car reserves the right to change the model or the type of the car you have requested, without prior notification.

Transport of Rental Car by Boat: transport of the rental car by boat without previously obtaining written authorization from Budget Kefalonia Car Rentals, is strictly prohibited.

Taxes & VAT 23%: included in the car rental rates.

Traffic Violations - Fines: fines that are incurred during the rental period due to illegal parking and traffic code violations are the responsibility of the renter and will therefore be charged to his credit card.
